Hold on/ let go

life is like water in a lake
shall i make waves with it?
or let it be quiet and peaceful?

some ideologies:
Life is nothing without passion.

buddhism:
Life should be without attachment, desires.

new modern society concept of effective ppl:
multi-tasking, do many things at one time

buddhism:
focus on one thing at a moment. concentration/ one-pointedness

realized... buddhism way is a way of life which gives more relaxation and peace of mind, but in many circumstances, the flow of life and the way society works always drive us to the exact opposite way.

shall i find for happiness, or shall i earn my living first?

shall take the middle way - if i can break away from the norm.

Seeing things from all perspectives

Many a time we dont see the whole picture
and we dont look at both sides of a story
because human mind is usually restricted by the borders of the perspective he is looking from
we only see the tip of an iceberg

While we are away from something we have always been with, we finally notice the value, otherwise taken for granted, it means to us.

While in UK, i started to see the beauty of Malaysia:
While back in Malaysia, i started to appreciate things in UK.

Human is always contradicting themselves - as the circumstances change, thinking changes, people changes, outlook changes. a theory once taken true can be seen as radical. a regime once supported can be toppled. reminds me of the uprise of communism in china based on a set of altruism ideologies, in which the same set of utopian-like ideologies bring the demise of it.

conclusion: opinions, decision, philosophy, ideologies of a person depend on the perspective he looks at things.

for common ppl, they see the beauty of one thing only when they no longer own it. i realize i did the same mistake. many things taken for granted; or certain things that seemed untolerable shows its importance in another situation.

i learn to see the merits of each system, in each country.
malaysia with its diversity, european with its emphasis on rights and civil consciousness.
democracy with its rights-based, meritocracy system, communism with its strong community spirit and value of sharing.
capitalism with its free market opportunities, central organization with its ease of commanding in emergency.

to learn: appreciate things during the time you have them. look at things from every different view.
